Seven Qualities of Spiritual People

The word spirituality is added in our frequently used vocabulary list. Many people claims to be spiritual.  People who are practicing yoga and spending some time in instructed meditation, they call themselves to be spiritual. There are so many teachers and preachers around, who calls themselves as elevated person. They might have read so many books on spirituality, might have build good vocabulary to explain a lot of factors associated with techniques and practices. In reality, it is not about talk at all. It is not at all about show off. And there are no said parameters by which one can judge others in this field. Only an elevated master can see from inner eyes and tell about the status of the disciple, but finding such master is a bit difficult.

A real spiritual person looks like any ordinary man. He does not have need to decorate himself in any particular attire and to show some makeup to look spiritual. They used to live worldly life like any normal person but the same time they are grounded in their beingness. Though there are few people who belong to any particular tradition and opt for different attire and life of a monk. But only monk would be spiritual, even it is not the case.

They used to be in mundane world, performing their daily duties and necessary course of action. It is very easy to identify them if your heart is open. They can be compared with a tree, where the roots are deeper in beingness and leaves are up in the sky and it stands tall at earth too. Though there are numerous qualities of spiritual person. Here are few characteristics of the spiritual person by which one can get idea.

1)      Inner wisdom

A spiritual person radiates inner beauty and wisdom. They never teach from books, they speak from their own experiences. Wisdom has nothing to do about facts and learnt information. It comes from within. Few consider it as knowledge. A knowledgeable person can be a scholar or we can call them ‘Pandit’- a learnt person who can speak from any scriptures and give references from them to prove facts. A spiritual person is a real knower, who experiences their own things. Normally they don’t preach unless they feel internally to deliver the real knowledge to world.      

2)      Presence

Presence of a spiritual person has some kind of attraction. One can feel automatically attracted towards them. Their eyes speak, their smile says unspoken words of love, and their presence radiates a soothing energy.  If one is having ability to feel energy, they can identify easily. Even if one can not to do so, still they will find that there is something special in the presence of the person. It’s the aura of the person which is loving and calming, if you go near to them, that energy will engulf you and you will feel light, calm and stress free in their presence.

3)      Harmony

A spiritual person lives life in harmony. Harmony with nature, harmony with surrounding and harmony in relationship, everywhere they establish harmony. They know the key of peaceful life. They establish harmony in their own being, with own energy and they radiate it everywhere. They have ability to deal with challenges and a peace around them can be easily felt. In all situations they used to internally stable and their acts are always fully balanced.

4)      Sensitivity and intuitiveness

They used to be sensitive towards everything. It does not mean they would be panic on all silly events of life. They become sensitive towards the energies around. They can sense the coming events; they can have elevated visions and listening abilities. They become sensitive towards the distant sounds and waves around. Their intuitive capability rises up and it helps them to navigate their life.

 

5)      Away from falsehood of ego

When the awareness increases, they identify all the hidden layers of ego within which gives the false identification. They work in day to day life but they used to be internally aware about the falsehood of everything. They are beyond body and mind and in this world everything is temporary, it used to be in their awareness. Being humble they keep away the falsehood of ego. 

 

6)      Feeling of Oneness

With growing consciousness, they gain wisdom and then realize that everyone is same. Body of everyone is made up of same 5 materials and all the souls are connected. There is no difference anywhere in this universe, only outer look is different but the core thing is same. So they used to be in feeling of oneness. Feeling of oneness with nature, oneness with all living beings and oneness with the supreme consciousness, they remain connected. They don’t distinguish on basis of race, caste, creed and on other belief systems. They know all are one and all paths go to the same destination.    


7)      State of Love

The real ultimate state for which any practitioner follows the spiritual path is the state of love. When someone gets freedom, liberates or gets enlightenment or get spiritual mystical power, it is just the half way of journey.  One who is at highest state of spirituality, he radiates love only all time. Overflowing love and kindness is the true characteristics of a spiritual person.
